Rainfall Warning System

A Rainfall Warning System was launched today by PAGASA weather bureau, to monitor the expected rainfall in a certain period of time and in a more defined area. This is the first in the country and for now, only Metro Manila will be monitored. The data will come from the radar stations in Tagaytay and in Subic.

There are three categories in the alert system. Yellow warning means expected rainfall is between 7.5-15 mm within one hour. Green warning means expected rainfall is between 15-30 mm within an hour and Red warning is more than 30mm.
